Junior Syndicate visit to the
St Andrew’s Public Library
On Tuesday afternoon Room’s 3, 4 and 6 visited the St Andrew’s Public Library. Then on Wednesday afternoon, it was Room 1 and Room 2’s turn. We left during lunchtime and we walked quickly down to the library at the Braid Rd shops.
Cathy welcomed us and we all went in and sat quietly in the junior section. We found out about joining the library and what you can borrow. We saw picture books and nonfiction books, magazines and puzzles, cds, dvds, and talking books... Wow! It’s worth getting a library card. The ladies that work at the library are very kind. They love to help children find what they are looking for. Cathy encouraged all the children to join the library because it’s a great way to have lots of different books to read and it doesn’t cost anything!
Some of us already have library cards. Lots of us are going to join soon. That was an interesting trip for KC kids who love to read.
Room 2 did you have fun?
