Our Australian Teacher
We have two teachers for week 10 and week 11! Mrs Scott is still here but we have Miss Power, as well. She is from Deakin University in Melbourne and she is learning to be a teacher. Moreporks have been doing their reading with Miss Power and guess what they have been reading about! Kangaroos, of course. Miss Power knows about these Australian marsupials! She is also teaching the spirals how to count on and back from the biggest number when they are adding and subtracting.

ReplyDeleteRoom 7 knows exactly what it's like having two teachers! We had Miss Stevens in our class for 8 weeks! Isn't it fun?
I would love to know what the Moreporks reading group learnt about kangaroos. I know that kangaroos have a pouch where their baby joey grows and lives while it is growing.
