Rugby World Cup at Vardon School

All the classes at Vardon School adopted a country from the Rugby World Cup.  They did a bit of research to find out some facts about the country and the rugby team.

Room 2 supported the Russian team.  We found out that parts of Russia are really cold.  That's because it's so close to the North Pole.
They have reindeer in Russia!!
Russia is a huge country but there are lots of mountains and forests.
The logo for the Russian team is a cool looking bear holding a rugby ball.
For our special Rugby World Cup assembly, we wore red or blue clothes, we made Russian flags
and we had white, blue then red face paint on one cheek and black and white for NZ on the other cheek!!
We even had a little bear logo stuck on our shirts!

The whole school went to the hall before playtime.
It was very noisy because we were all so excited
about our team. Most classes had flags that they
were waving and some classes had even
learnt to speak in their country's language.
It was a lot of fun!!!!
Go the All Blacks!!
